Dr. Ballani and Dr. Tran are board certified physicians in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.  In addition, Dr. Tran is one of only 40 board certified Physician Nutrition Specialists in California.  In line with their mission to deliver the highest standards of medical care they have both maintained the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award with Commendation and have certifications in all of the following:  1) Clinical Bone Densitometry  2) Thyroid ultrasound and  3) Fine Needle Aspiration Thyroid Biopsy. 


Additional Services: 

1)  Diabetes/nutrition education classes in both English and Spanish conducted by a Certified Diabetes Educator (C.D.E.) for our diabetes patients.

2)  Insulin pump Clinical Specialists (R.N./C.D.E.) for assistance with our insulin pump patients.

3)  Diet/nutrition education with a Registered Dietician (R.D.) for our established overweight patients.

4)  On-site carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) testing, or ArterioVision, which is an ultrasound procedure that enables us to safely and non-invasively detect and monitor atherosclerosis (the underlying cause of heart attacks and strokes), even in individuals with no symptoms of heart disease.  www.i-mti.com  (coming soon).



Mission: 

To deliver compassionate care and a comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of every patient in a timely fashion.  Since continuity of care and communication is critically important to them, they will provide dictated consultation notes to the referring physicians within a few days of the patient being seen.   

The office staff is also fluent in Spanish, Hindi, and Vietnamese.
