Kimberly Cook, F.N.P.-C, was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She attended college in northern California and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Biological Sciences, Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity Emphasis in 2005. By 2007, she had obtained a second bachelors degree in Nursing (graduating Magna Cum Laude); and by 2009, a Master of Science degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, with academic honors (Dean's List). While obtaining her Master's degree, Kimberly worked as a staff nurse in the Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. After graduation, she spent some time working in OB/GYN, adult primary care, and pediatrics. Prior to joining Southern CA Endocrine Medical Group, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the Orange County Rescue Mission. Similar to the experience of Dr. Tran, she loves the diversity of medicine but always found herself drawn to the intellectual challenges of endocrine diseases in her patients. In addition, Kim has a special interest in women's health issues. She is fluent in medical Spanish. Kimberly is married and has 3 children. She is an avid skier, enjoys surfing, and jogs regularly.
Tara Holguin, M.S.P.A.S., M.P.H., P.A.-C
Tara Holguin, P.A.-C. was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She completed her bachelor's degree in Exercise Biology from UC Davis in 2011. She then underwent a 3 yr training Program at Touro University in northern CA and successfully obtained 2 masters degrees in conjunction with her Physician Assistant degree. Prior to joining Southern CA Endocrine Medical Group in 2017, she had a couple years of experience working in an ophthalmology practice in Napa Valley, CA. Tara is married and has 2 children. She is fluent in medical Spanish.
