Dr. Ballani’s range of education and experience in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, and Ob/Gyn give her a unique and diverse perspective. In addition to diabetes and thyroid problems, she maintains a keen interest in women's health, GYN endocrine disorders and endocrine complications of pregnancy. Prior to completing her sub-specialty training in Endocrinology, she obtained her board certification in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Hospital affiliated with Cornell University in NY. She has held a faculty position at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India, following residency in Ob/Gyn.
Furthermore, she has been honored by the Consumers' Research Council of America with a listing as one of "America's Top Physicians 2007" (
